FAQ's
How long does the hair need to be?
The hair needs to be at least a 1/4 inch to a 1/2 inch long in order to be waxed. This is usually about two weeks
of growth.
Will waxing make the hair stop growing?
No, but your regrowth will be much thinner, finer and softer. That is one of the major benefits. With
continued waxing, you may even experience significant reduction in regrowth.
Can I still tan if I get waxed?
You should not tan within 24 hours of being waxed. Waxing has an exfoliating effect on the skin and will
make you temporarily more susceptible to sunburn. If you would still like to tan, we would advise covering
the area completely with a towel.
What is a Bikini wax?
In a Bikini wax, the hair is removed from any areas that would be exposed in a bathing suit or underwear. A
stomach wax is included if desired. You will be provided with a pair of full-coverage disposable bikini
panties to wear during your service.
What is a Brazilian wax?
In a Brazilian wax, hair is removed from belly button to tailbone. Some people choose to leave a small strip
or triangle at the top. The Brazilian is so named because of the thong swimsuits Brazilian women wear. In
order to receive a Brazilian, you will need to be nude from the waist down. Remember, it may seem
uncomfortable to you, but we've done hundreds of waxes and you can feel secure with our professionalism and
discretion.
How long will it take for my skin to recover from redness?
The skin may stay red anywhere from 1 to 24 hours depending on your skin's sensitivity. The waxes we use
are more gentle on the skin, therefore some people will experience very little redness and irritation.
Is there any home care needed after waxing?
The amount of home care will depend on your hair type. We advise all individuals who receive body waxing
to exfoliate on a daily basis. If you are prone to ingrown hairs, we recommend manually exfoliating and using
an exfoliating product. We will discuss these issues during your waxing procedure.
How long will it last?
It depends on your rate of hair growth, but you should be hair-free for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Most people do
well on a waxing schedule of every 4 weeks.
Prices say "starting at". What factors determine the final price?
Prices are based on the amount of product used, which is usually determined by how much hair you have. For instance, a first
time Brazilian will often use more product than a repeat Brazilian and is therefore sometimes, although not always, $5-$10 more.
