grow your hair to at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch, about the length of a grain of rice; which is usually about two to three weeks of growth. genlty exfoliating the area the night before can be helpful. IF YOU'RE CONCERNED ABOUT DISCOMFORT TAKE AN IBUPROFEN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. arrive a little early to use the restroom and freshen up or use a complimentary wipe in the room.
ABSOLUTELY! you can be waxed at all stages of pregnancy, right up until your due date. (plus, it's a fun guessing game trying to time that last wax ;)
how OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
IN A BRAZILIAN WAX, HAIR IS REMOVED FROM pubic bone TO TAILBONE for both men and women. SOME people CHOOSE TO LEAVE A SMALL STRIP OR TRIANGLE AT THE TOP.
● avoid tanning for a minimum of 24 hours.
● avoid touching the area to prevent the spread of bacteria to freshly waxed skin.
● gently exfoliate frequently, starting about a week post-wax. exfoliate diligently when the hair is growing back to avoid ingrowns. Most people do well with just a pair of exfoliating gloves (be sure to let fully dry after use and launder frequently). if you have a hair type that struggles with ingrowns, we also offer tendksin and finipil. if you suffer from hyperpigmentation and ingrowns we recommend our pfb vanish ultra.
